This research aims to investigate the affective spaces in the context of how the Dark Monuments of past caused such damage to the people of Cyprus and how architecture can be the solution to cure this problem.
Citizens of Cyprus are suffering from never-ending trauma due to political conflicts that have happened between the two nations. The long years of conflict between the two nations and violence within the country as Turkey invaded and took over the north side of Cyprus due to a Greek government coup and gained full control of the north section of the island, which caused a division within the island and the people of Cyprus.
